Encompassing the oldest national park in India, the Jim Corbett National Park, and several other beautiful valleys, the region of Corbett in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, is reminiscent of the vivid world conjured by Rudyard Kipling in his book, ‘The Jungle Book.' Hilly ridges interspersed with flat valleys and green grasslands complementing marshy wetlands, Corbett has a wide variety of flora and fauna. A soul with wanderlust is drawn to this region, with its spectacular panoramas and adventurous vibe.
Surrounded by the steep forested hills of Kumaon on the outer Himalayas, Nainital is a city that grew up around its namesake, Lake Naini. A favorite destination for honeymooners, this hill station, with its mythological past, is a part of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. With a landscape dotted with a plethora of lakes like Tallital, Mallital, Sattal, and Bhimtal, it is no wonder that the region is known as the Lake District of India. A spider’s web of scenic trekking trails covers the hillsides surrounding Nainital. The breathtaking panorama of the tangled rides and distant peaks of the mighty Himalayas will hold you spellbound. Spend some time promenading along Mall Road and explore the exotic cuisines of Nainital and grab some unique souvenirs.
Arrive at the hotel in Nainital. Rest of the day is at leisure. If you wish to, head out for a half day local sightseeing tour of the city. Visit the Echo Point, Suicide Point, Snow View Point, Waterfall, Naina Devi Temple etc. Do Boating on Naini Lake at your own expense. Return to the hotel for dinner & overnight stay.
After a healthy breakfast, head to the Snow Point by ropeway. In the afternoon, visit the Bhimtal, Sattal, Naukuchiatal and Khurpatal lakes. Return to the hotel by evening to have a sumptuous dinner and a pleasant overnight stay.
After early morning breakfast , proceed for Corbett national park via Ranikhet . En -Route you can visit Chaubatia garden,Temple and Golf course ground in Ranikhet . Pass sometime here . Then proceed for Corbett in afternoon . Overnight Dinner & stay in Corbett area hotel . You can enjoy bonfire too at extra charges . The park houses more than 500 species of animals, reptiles and birds. The place offers a lot to those who wish to have a closer look of nature. Wildlife of the park includes the Tiger, the Leopard, slot Bear, Jungle Cat, Fishing Cat, Wild Boar, Langur and Rhesus Monkeys, Gharial and Muggar Crocodiles.
Early in the morning at 6 a.m head for an elephant safari or a Jeep safari in the core area of the jungle. You can also opt to go in the afternoon (2-5 p.m) for a safari to spot the wildlife after checking out from the hotel by Noon. The area consists of river belts, grasslands, marshy depressions, a lake, and hills. During the safari, try spotting various bird and animal species. If you are lucky, you might spot a Tiger or leopard Cat. Later, get transferred to the port of your departure.
