• Day 1 : DehraDun to Gangotri

  DehraDun to Gangotri. Drive 245km /8-9hrs

• Day 2 : Acclimatisation day at Gangotri (10171 ft)

  Visit to ganga temple, suriyakund, pandav gufha, Uttarkashi – Gangotri. 100 kms/5hrs/3048m

• Day 3 : Gangotri to Chidbasa

  Gangotri to Chidbasa. 09 km/45hrs/3800m

• Day 4 : Chidbasa to Bhojbasa

  Chidbasa to Bhojbasa. 5km/3-4hrs/3820mtr.

• Day 5 : Bhojbasa to Gaumukh – Tapovan

  Bhojbasa to Gaumukh – Tapovan. 8kms/5-6hrs/4,500mt

• Day 6 : Rest day and and trek around Nill tal and close to Shivling 1 day in Tapovan at full moon

DETAILED ITINERARY

• Day 1 : DehraDun to Gangotri

  Altitude - 3100m.
  Distance - 245km
  Time Taken - 8-9 hours
  Over night stay in hotel
  Reach Dehradun Railway stationat about 7am in the morning , meet the guide and and drive to Uttarkashi (1150 mt) via the hill towns of Mussoorie / Uttarakashi & which takes 5-6 hrs. The Chinyali saur near by Tehri Dam with a capacity to generate 2400 MW of electricity and the massive Tehri lake can be seen during the journey. Then drive to Gangotri along right bank of river Ganga ( Bhagirathi). In the mid way, visit Hot spring and take Sulfur bath in Gangnani. On the way beautiful view of Grater Himalayas, Harshil and green forest. On arrival check in guest house, evening visit holly city Gangotri. At 7pm see nice Siromani {Arti} of Goddess GANGA. Dinner and overnight at the hotel is known to be a centre of region and learning since ancient times, and has a lot to be explored. Evening free to explore the surrounding by your own.

• Day 2 : Acclimatisation day at Gangotri (10171 ft)

  One day Rest and altitude acclimatization – Morning dip in the in Bhagirathi next to Gangotri Temple; visit of the temple, enjoying the serenity of Gangotri where many pilgrim's assemble, the spectacular water fall of Bhagirathi river. (Guest House or Ashram in Gangotri 1 night).

• Day 3 : Gangotri to Chidbasa

  Altitude - 3800m.
  Distance - 15kms. (9km trek)
  Time take taken - 4-5hours
  Over night stay in hotel
  Start trek to Bhojbasa after TM Program and breakfast. You enter the national park, walk on side of Bhagirathi river in a breathtaking scenery, a magnificent view on Shiv Ling Mountain, meeting pilgrim's including Sanyasis and Sadhus There are possibility to rest and take hot food and water in various places in comfortable small tent shops. All along the way there will possibility to continue the trek on mule back (on payment basis). On arrival, TM program, enjoy incredible scenery and sight of Shiv Ling Mountain, dinner and rest under tent. Overnight stay Camping Side Chidbasa.

• Day 4 : Chidbasa to Bhojbasa

  Altitude - 3820m.
  Distance - 5kms.
  Time Taken - 3-4 hours.
  Over night stay in hotel
  From Chidbasa one moves along the well formed track towards Chidbasa, a small patch of Pine trees en route. The entire trek follows a parallel course along the roaring Bhagirathi River steadily gaining altitude with every step taken. Beyond Chidbasa .the terrain becomes really desolate and barren. And the ground transforms to sandy and crumbly (a point en route called the silent zone is so fragile, that a loud noise or a thud might initiate a rockslide from above) The trek further to Bhojvasa is along a the path that slowly flattens out and dips suddenly to reveal Bhojvasa with a small temple and a potential campsite near the river. The camp is set up near the river. Afternoon free to explore the area and to enjoy excellent sunset on Bhagirathi group of peaks. Dinner and overnight stay in tents. TM program, enjoy incredible scenery and sight of Shiv Ling Mountain, dinner and rest under tent.

• Day 5 : Bhojbasa to Gaumukh – Tapovan

  Altitude - 4500m
  Distance - 8kms.
  Time Taken - 5-6 hours
  Over night stay in hotel
  After TM Program and breakfast, Trek to Gaumukh, Puja, Dip and Group Meditation. This the pout of the Gangotri Glacier and the present source of Bhagirathi River, which joins with Alaknanda River, to form Ganga at the craggy-carved town of Devprayag. Gaumukh is the spot where the water from the glacier trickles down to form the river.
  The sages called it 'Gaumukh', because in the distant past, it probably appeared like a cow's mouth. Explore the area and trek to Tapovan, one of the finest high altitude alpine meadows in the area.
  The trek from Gaumukh to Tapovan is a steep ascent over the side of the glacier, and as one climbs, the view of the surrounding peaks becomes clearer. It is particularly auspicious to take a dip at the Source of the Holy Ganges. Then trek to Tapovan (Altitude 4500m), "the Abode of the Gods". The trail is passing over the Glacier over Gaumukh.

• Day 6 : Rest day and and trek around Nill tal and close to Shivling 1 day in Tapovan at full moon

  Morning breakfast and then start drive from Gangotri to Uttarkashi. Have lunch and then drive to Dehradun. It will take 7-8 hours to reach Dehradun

PAYMENT POLICY

46 days or more before date of departure: 25% of total cost.
31- 45 days before date of departure: 50% of total cost.
30 days before date of departure: 100% of total cost.
Important: The booking stands liable to be cancelled if 100% payment is not received less than 30 days before date of departure.

CANCELLATION POLICY

For the cancellation of trek services due to any avoidable / unavoidable reasons, we must be notified of the same in writing

*CANCELLATION CHARGES PER PERSON

30 days or more before the departure date: 25% of the total cost.
29 - 20 days before the departure date: 50% of total cost.
Less than 20 days before the departure day: 100% of the total cost.
Cancellation less than 10 days to the start of the trek: Transfer your trek (same trek, same batch) to your friend. No cash refund.

*IF WE CHANGE OR CANCEL YOUR HOLIDAY

We do plan the arrangements in advance. It is unlikely that we will have to make any changes to your travel arrangements. Occasionally, we may have to make changes and we reserve the right to do so at any time. If there are any changes, we will advise you of them at the earliest possible date. We also reserve the right under any circumstances to cancel you travel arrangements by assigning reasons to you. If we are unable to provide the booked travel arrangements due to reasons beyond control ( e.g. bad weather, insufficient bookings) we shall first try to offer alternative dates for the tour if the tour has'nt already commenced. If the alternate arrangement does not suit you, we will refund the amount in full.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Change of trek batch is dependent on the availability of seats in the batch.
In case of transferring a trek to a friend, he/ she should satisfy all the mandatory requirements put forward by UTT.
UTT holds the right to change/cancel the policies, without prior notice.

If a trip must be delayed or the itinerary changed due to bad weather, road conditions, transportation delays, government intervention, airline schedules, sickness, or other contingency for which UTT or its agents cannot make provision, the cost of delays and/or other changes are the responsibility of the participant. UTT reserves the right to decline, or accept, any individual as a trip member for any reason whatsoever.

NOTE: *Written cancellation will be accepted on working days (only). Any cancellation sent on a Sunday or any National Holiday(s), will be considered on the next official working day. *In the event of any cancellation(s) after trip commencement, there will be no refunds and any costs incurred due to this cancellation will be borne by you. Irrespective of when a trip is booked, the above condition will hold true.

HOW TO REACH

Jolly Grant Airport is the airport serving Dehradun, located about 48 km from the Haridwar. There is a daily flight from Delhi for Dehradun.

From Mumbai- Dehradun Express (19019)
From Chennai- Dehardun express (12687)

By road, Haridwar is well connected with major destinations of the country.
NH72 connects Haridwar to Nahan (125 km) to the north-west, and thereon to Panchkula, Chandi-garh and Shimla.
NH 72 terminates at Dehardun, which is at 54km from Haridwar.
Haridwar is located at a distance of 235 km from Delhi.
NH72A links Haridwar to NH58 at Roorkee (35 km) and thereon south to Meerut (170 km) and Delhi (235 km).
There is regular bus service from Delhi for Haridwar from Delhi's ISBT Kashmere Gate

GUIDELINES

Alcohols or any other intoxicating products "STRICTLY PROHIBHITED" during the trek.
Always pay heed to the trek guides or instructors.
Try not to leave the group under any circumstances.
Avoid trekking during the nights as it is extremely dangerous.
Avoid using earphones as that might hinder your hearing.
Do not participate or encourage littering of the places in any form.
While visiting the local villages and tourist sites, obey the local guidelines and instructions.
Do not harm or interrupt the local sentiments of the places.

Your safety is of paramount concern while travelling with UTTARAKHAND TOUR TRAVELS. Please note that your leader has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it is deemed necessary due to safety concerns. Since adventure entails travelling in remote mountainous regions, we cannot guarantee that we will not deviate from it. Weather conditions, health condition of a group member, unexpected natural disasters, etc., can all contribute to changes in the itinerary. The leader will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but please be prepared to be flexible if required
