Itinerary

Day 1: Rishikesh to Ransi (220 km, 8-9 hrs by road)

Start from Rishikesh early morning and drive towards Ransi via Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Guptkashi.
Overnight stay in a guesthouse/homestay in Ransi village.

Day 2: Ransi to Madmaheshwar (16 km trek, 6-7 hrs)

Begin the trek from Ransi to Bantoli (8 km), then ascend to Madmaheshwar (8 km).
Walk through dense forests, meadows, and river crossings.
Reach Madmaheshwar Temple by evening.
Stay in basic guesthouses near the temple.

Day 3: Madmaheshwar to Ransi (16 km trek, 5-6 hrs)

Wake up early for a divine darshan at Madmaheshwar Temple.
Optionally, trek 2 km further to Budha Madmaheshwar for panoramic views.
Descend back to Ransi via Bantoli.
Overnight stay in Ransi village.

Day 4: Ransi to Rishikesh (220 km, 8-9 hrs by road)

Drive back from Ransi to Rishikesh, marking the end of a memorable trek!

Getting Around with Ease

Via Air

The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun (225 km from Ransi). From there, you can take a taxi to Guptkashi and then to Ransi.

Via Train

The nearest railway station is Haridwar (215 km) or Rishikesh (200 km). From there, take a bus or taxi to Guptkashi, then hire a local vehicle to Ransi.

Via Road

Ransi is accessible via Guptkashi from Rishikesh, Haridwar, and Dehradun. Regular buses and shared taxis are available up to Guptkashi.
